Not at all! You can create, join, and contribute to hangout as a guest user. You can create a guest account by only providing a name, username, and a password. However, guest accounts can only contribute to the hangout they were created for, don't have access to certain features, and are automatically deleted two months after a hangout is concluded.

As a registered user, you get to keep a full history of all the hangouts you've been in, access multiple hangouts with the same account, and add friends, which you can then directly invite within the app.

We only collect the bare minimum of data required to register your account, and it's stored securely in our database. You can learn more about this by reading our Privacy Policy.

You can always delete your account if you change your mind. Simply navigate to the account section, click the drop down menu next to your name, and select Delete Account to start the process. Doing so will remove all your personal details from our database.

You just have to copy the hangout link once you're in then send it to your friends. If you and your friend are both registered users, you can add each other as friends and send invitations through the app.
